Moonlight Lodge is one of two remote backcountry lodges on Ben Lomond Station, a high country property just outside Queenstown run by the Foster family. Guests hike or bike in from Queenstown and arrive at lodge accommodation with a dining room and lounge.
Exclusive use of the lodges can be arranged, with catering options. For wedding receptions the station offers The Wool Shed, where the Woolroom has a kitchen, toilets and a shower and seats 110 guests.
It also takes work functions, corporate events and film crew bases. The station has its own Weddings page for couples.
In February it hosts the Shotover Moonlight Mountain Marathon, with space kept at Moonlight Lodge for participants. Rated 4.9 from 7 Google reviews, 6 of them five stars.
